About the Founder
Fortestra Advisory Firm was built on more than 20 years of experience managing high-stakes programs in some of the most demanding operational environments in the country. The advisory expertise you access through Fortestra was developed where the cost of a process failure, a documentation gap, or an adoption failure is measured not in inconvenience, but in program loss, regulatory action, and sometimes, lives.
The Experience Behind the Firm
Ada Crenshaw spent more than two decades building and managing complex programs across aerospace, defense, and systems engineering environments, industries where documentation errors have real consequences, where change management failures end programs, and where the gap between how a process is documented and how it actually runs can become an audit finding, a contractual violation, or a delivery failure.
Her career spanned technical roles in software configuration management and data management, progressing through senior engineering and task lead positions, and culminating in systems engineering leadership on major space systems programs. Along the way, she led site-wide technology implementations across multi-functional teams, built change management programs from scratch for large defense programs, and developed the process improvement and configuration management standards that those organizations still run on.
She earned a Prosci Certified Change Management Practitioner credential, the recognized standard in organizational change management, and holds Lean Six Sigma credentials that have shaped how she approaches every process improvement engagement. Her educational foundation includes a Master of Science in Information Technology with a concentration in Project Management from Capella University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Grambling State University.
